Transport for London (TfL) PTP for New Movers – pilot project to test idea of offering personalised travel advice to individuals who have recently moved testing the theory that they will be more receptive as travel habits will be weakened due to the change in context.
Transport for London (TfL) Attitudes to Active Travel in 17-30 year olds – Conducting qualitative research to explore the decrease in active travel across this age group.
Highways Agency, Influencing Tourism Travel in the South West – desktop research into the nature extent and impacts of Tourism related travel in the South West and the potential for partnership working to move toward more sustainable tourism.
Michaela Jurasek
Psychologist at JMP with a focus on transport psychology. Michaela has experience in road-user interaction, and developed research into cross-situational consistency of rule breaking behaviour as part of her Masters degree. She also has a broad understanding of theoretical and experimental techniques, and the application of these to the realm of transport and psychology.
Michaela is currently leading the ‘New Movers’ personalised travel planning intervention project based in the London Borough of Sutton, as part of TfL’s ‘Smarter Travel Sutton’ scheme. Her work has included providing research and recommendations for travel plans, and recently co-authored a paper in Habit Discontinuity with other CTP members.
