  • Review of Road Safety in relation to School Travel Plans. Client: New Zealand Land Safety Authority International review of school travel plan and safe routes to school implementation and evidence of impact on casualties and perceived safety for school children and their children walking or cycling the school journey.

  • Project Manager for Community Travel Plan initiative in Hereford. Client: St James and Bartonsham Community Association - Oversaw the first Community Travel Plan in England involving 628 dwellings and 2000+ residents over 2 years to change travel behaviour towards walking, cycling and public transport.

  • Health Impact Assessment of Children and Cycling (2006) Transport for London. An evaluation of the benefits and issues towards health and transport through interventions to increase cycling among children in London.

  • Cycling and health: What’s the evidence? (2007) Cycling England - Peer reviewed assessment of the evidence and quality of evidence for the health benefits of cycling

  • Evidence Review: Environmental interventions to promote walking and cycling (2007) National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (with University of Oxford). A systematic review of the peer reviewed evidence for effectiveness of environmental interventions. Subsequent Guidance issued by NICE in January 2008 drew on this evidence review.

  • Teenage Attitudes to Cycling – A Literature Review (2007) Transport for London. A literature review of academic and private research into the values of cycling for young people from pre teenager to young adults.

Dr Adrian Davis

Dr Adrian Davis is one the UK’s prominent transport and health specialists, and leads JMP’s psychology and health teams for behaviour change and transport. Adrian has worked as a key advisor to several groups including the WHO, TfL, the British Medical Association and the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, resulting in number of key publications for health and transport

Adrian’s work in health and transport has gained an international reputation for both academic and consultancy work, with a number of key publications and guidance for health and transport in print.
